Hurrying the holidays
Is it really Christmas already? It seems like only yesterday that I was handing out Snickers to all of the trick-or-treaters on Halloween night.
But judging by all the yuletide items on the shelves at Hobby Lobby and the holiday tunes being played 24/7 on the radio, I must have missed Thanksgiving. Hey, did anyone bother to save me a drumstick?
Now that I'm retired, I have more time to enjoy the holidays, but I do require a little breather between celebrations. And while I've yet to pick out my Valentine's Day gift, I'm already being reminded on TV to stock up on beer for the Fourth. Give
me a break.
