Risks of speeding

Speeding is not worth it. For instance, if you have to drive 30 miles to get to work and you do it on a tollway at 60 mph, it will take 30 minutes, at 70 mph 26 minutes, at 80 mph 23 minutes. Is saving a few minutes really worth causing or being in an accident or being stopped by the cops? Both of these will take a lot more time than the few minutes you save. You could just leave five minutes sooner.

Similarly, if you are going somewhere other than a highway, your arrival time will be determined by how lucky you are with green lights and the amount of traffic. By the way, you're more likely to get a green light if you drive the speed limit.

As a real-life example, my daughter and I both left for her house from ours at the same time. It is about 30 miles away. I took the highway and she took the back roads. I got there about two minutes sooner than she did.

Speeding is not worth it.

Also, lf you are on a highway and not passing anyone, then move over to the right. I don't care how fast you are going. If you are not passing someone, move to the right. This will help reduce congestion, help stop people zipping in and out and help reduce accidents.
