Amendment is clear
I don't know why Mr. Lorimer finds the Second Amendment vague and unclear. The sentence of the amendment simply reads, "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
The parenthetical phrases before the sentence are about the militia that was restricted after the Revolutionary War. But today it simply means that law-abiding citizens have a right to protect themselves with firearms.
If Mr. Lorimer is concerned about automatic weapons and ghost guns, I share his concern. But America cannot take the guns away from 230 million gun owners, as it would start the second American Revolution.
