Fire damages Antioch garage; No injuries reported

Fire broke out Saturday night in the detached garage of an Antioch home, leaving the structure badly damaged but causing no injuries.

Antioch Fire Department firefighters called to the 40353 block of North Bluff Lake Road at about 9 p.m. arrived to find the garage fully involved in flames, with exposure to the adjacent house and recreational vehicles.

Due to the extent of the fire and water supply needs, crews from the Lake Villa, Round Lake, Fox Lake, Spring Grove, Grayslake and Salem fire departments were called to assist.

Firefighters worked for about two hours to extinguish the blaze, conduct overhaul operations and investigate. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
