U.S. not living up to its standards

It deeply saddens me that as a country that stands for liberty and justice for all, one that aims to be a beacon of democracy, we continue down this ungodly path over and over again under the guise of defenders of freedom and protection.

Why are we continuing to be allies with a nation that is a known aggressor and oppressor. Why do we give them billions when our citizens don't have the luxuries they have? Our student loan crisis, inflation crisis, health care crisis to name a few, and overall general social and welfare programs have all taken a back seat so we can fund this beneficiary of ours. This ally uses our weapons to reign oppression on a people whose land was forcibly taken in 1948.

We will be held accountable for this. I will be held accountable, as my tax dollars are paying for this. It seems as if "liberty and justice for all" only applies to this one particular nation, as we as a country can't even live up to that for ourselves.

Our people are divided, immigrants are considered second-class and sometimes unwelcome, racial injustice and inequality hasn't progressed much since the civil rights era, education is suffering, but instead of funding our own programs we continue to give billions to this ally of ours. We are blinded in our ways, we continue to spew hate, grow fear and control narratives that are far from the truths instead of spending on our citizens.
