Elgin interfaith community meets for Thanksgiving worship Nov. 19

The Coalition of Elgin Religious Leaders invites the greater Elgin community to join in "Coming Together," the annual Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service.

It will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at First Christian Church, 1125 Summit St. in Elgin.

Be witness to the outpouring of thanks for the shared blessings as the representatives of a variety of world faith traditions offer readings, choirs, sharings, prayers, and a stirring seasonal message to strengthen our sense of hope and compassion at this season and throughout the entire year.

Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service. This year's free-will offering is designated for Elgin-based Centro de Informacion.
