Focus on metal health

The recent mass shooting in Maine is very sad, and we continue to see shootings across the United States. Many people are going to say we need more gun restrictions. There are many laws in place, and unfortunately more gun restrictions are not going to resolve the issue. The shooter in Maine had been in a mental institution fortwo weeks, with people saying he was heard talking about killing people, yet nothing was done.

Earlier in the month, an off-duty pilot tried to shut down the engines of an airline and kill 83 people. This is another example of mental health issues. No possible law or restrictions would have stopped him, other than the actual pilot stopping him.

There needs to be more done to help people with mental health and stress issues, not more gun laws.

By the way, criminals using guns don't follow the law and they will continue to do bad things.
