Help clear roadside debris in Hawthorn Woods

Hawthorn Woods' sustainability committee is hosting an Adopt-A-Highway event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday to clear debris from Lagoon Drive to Darlington Drive. Meet in front of the village hall barn, 2 Lagoon Drive off Old McHenry Road just east of Quentin Road. Light refreshments will be provided. Adopt-A-Highway program brings citizen volunteers into partnerships with the Lake County Division of Transportation to pickup trash and keep roadsides clean.
