Get creative with writing projects at Gail Borden Public Library.

Come Write In

NaNoWriMo is a creative writing challenge that takes place throughout Nov. during National Novel Writing Month.

The challenge is to write a 50,000-word first draft of a novel. Enjoy some peace and quiet while you work on your novel from noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays, Nov. 5 and Nov. 19 at the South Elgin Branch, 127 S. McLean Blvd., South Elgin. For more information about NaNoWriMo, visit nanowrimo.org.

Poetry Writers Workshop

Share your love of poetry and your work in a supportive environment from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4. Attend the program via Zoom or in person in the Main Library Grove Room, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin. Facilitated by Elgin Poet Laureate Gareth Mann.
