Kane County Animal Control to offer vaccine, microchip clinic
On Saturday, Oct. 28, the Kane County Animal Control will hold its final low-cost rabies vaccine and microchip clinic of the year.
The drive-through clinic will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4060 Keslinger Road in Geneva. No appointment is necessary; wait times may vary, so plan accordingly.
They will be providing one-year rabies vaccines and microchipping.
Kane County residents are required by law to purchase a registration tag.
The cost for the rabies vaccine with a tag is $40 for nonneutered and $22 for neutered. There's a reduced rate of $10 for seniors or out-of-county residents.
It is $15 for microchipping.
All owners must verify that the animal has not bitten anyone in the past 10 days. An adult, 18 or older, must be present and handle the animal. If your pet requires a muzzle, it must be provided by the owner and put on before entering the clinic.
