Elk Grove Village man charged with hitting victim with car after fight in Rolling Meadows

An Elk Grove Village man has been charged with striking another man with his car after a fight Tuesday night at a Rolling Meadows Dunkin' Donuts, police said.

Police said the two men were involved in a physical dispute around 8 p.m. at the store at 1921 Algonquin Road. When the suspect got into a vehicle and started to drive away, contact was made between the vehicle and the other man, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Rolling Meadows police.

Luis M. Soto, 33, is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury crash after police obtained descriptions of the suspect and vehicle and caught up with him a short time later, authorities said.

He was released pending a first appearance hearing at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.
