How to weigh in on proposed renovation of Maple Meadows golf course
DuPage County Forest Preserve officials will host an open house at the Maple Meadows golf course in Wood Dale on Wednesday to gather feedback on a proposed multimillion-dollar renovation of the property.
The open house will feature golf course architect Greg Martin, who transformed 27 holes across the street into the 18-hole Preserve at Oak Meadows.
In February 2022, the forest preserve district hired Martin Design Partnership, Ltd. to develop a new master plan for its sister course, Maple Meadows.
Proposed upgrades include: reconfigured holes designed to speed up play and improve the player experience; expanded short-game practice areas; and new clubhouse amenities, including a covered outdoor patio pavilion. The district also wants to make Maple Meadows more environmentally responsible by creating larger blocks of natural areas.
The open house is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the clubhouse at 272 Addison Road.
A brief survey on dupageforest.org also invites golfers and residents to give their input through Nov. 8.
