Irresponsible reporting gets in the way of truth

It is virtually impossible to have a conversation on the recent attach by Hamas on Israel without the poor reporting both on visual medias as well as newspapers completely misreporting that which has transpired. In a legal sense, this would have been reported as pure simple negligence, and people would be sued. But in the media game, they are protected.

So, rather than verifying stories as media once did, it is now "be the first to report and don't bother with facts." When the truth comes out, just ignore it. Don't apologize, just move on to the next big story that is or isn't true.

As bad as that is related to the current Middle East crisis, the terrible reporting on the bombing of the hospital in Palestine set off terrible demonstrations around the world that have not stopped even when truth comes out. The Israel and Jewish haters are now given free license to do and say whatever they want.

Until truth and facts take a front seat in the media rather than the back seat, this sort of disaster will continue to be an issue.

Remember, Israel was attacked by Hamas. It is that simple.
