Two robbed outside Des Plaines business Saturday

Two men were robbed early Saturday by gunmen outside a business in Des Plaines, police said Monday.

The victims had just gotten into a car in a parking lot in the 3000 block of South Des Plaines River Road about 1:15 a.m. when they were approached by three robbers who had handguns, police said.

The thieves made off with about $560, a wallet and a cellphone, leaving in a white SUV last seen on Devon Avenue. They were wearing dark clothes and had covered their faces, police said.

Police have reviewed security camera footage of the crime.
