Batavia church to install senior pastor Oct. 29

Immanuel Lutheran Church and School in Batavia will hold the installation of the Rev. Noah Kegley as its new senior pastor on Sunday, Oct. 29.

The service of installation will take place at 4 p.m. in the Family Life Center, 950 Hart Road.

It will be followed by a reception in the fellowship hall.

A warm invitation is extended to all members of the community to be part of this significant day in Immanuel's ministry to the region.

The Rev. Allan Buss, president of the Northern Illinois District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, will give the message and perform the rite of installation.

Local Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod pastors and the musicians of Immanuel will also participate.

Pastor Noah, accompanied by his wife, Monica, and their children are coming to Immanuel after service to St. Paul Lutheran in Mountain View, California.

A native of Wisconsin, the Rev. Kegley received his pre-seminary education at Concordia University, Mequon, Wis, and completed his study for the ministry at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. During his seminary training, he served as a vicar at St. Paul Lutheran in Boca Raton, Florida.

Ordained in 2018, he was associate pastor at St. Paul Lutheran in West Allis, Wis., before assuming pastoral leadership in Mountain View.

As senior pastor, Rev. Kegley will guide Immanuel as both its spiritual and administrative leader. He becomes the 17th pastor in Immanuel's 141-year history.
