Geneva Commons hosts Spooktacular Halloween & Dia de los Muertos Extravaganza

Geneva Commons is hosting a free Halloween & Dia de los Muertos community event on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event begins with the installation of two larger-than-life Catrinas, each standing at an impressive 16 feet, all the way from Aguascalientes, Mexico.

These captivating and intricately designed Catrinas are a sight to behold, adding a touch of Mexican cultural splendor to the Halloween & Dia de los Muertos Extravaganza and will be available for photos starting Oct. 21.

Geneva Commons has more in store to ensure a day filled with enchantment, with an entertainment extravaganza. Families can experience the thrill of Trunk-or-Treating (while supplies last), a petting zoo, bounce house, face painting, and balloon twisting. A magic show by Scott Piner will mesmerize guests of all ages.

Giving this event an enchanting twist, guests can discover the delightful flavors of Pan de Muerto, a traditional Mexican sweet bread often baked during Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) celebrations, visitors are in for a treat. Finally, attendees can immerse themselves in the rich and vibrant Mexican culture with special performances from Ballet Flokloriko Yetlanezi, a traditional Aurora dance company.
