The Batavia Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate the 20th anniversary of chamber member Heritage Woods of Batavia with a ribbon-cutting ceremony as part of a public open house Sept. 26. The affordable assisted-living facility is located at 1079 E. Wilson Street in Batavia. It serves adults 65 and older who need some help to maintain their independence. Attendees included Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke; Rick Banas, vice president of development and positioning for Gardant Management Solutions; and Eric Forystek, executive director of Heritage Woods of Batavia. They were joined by Heritage Woods staff members and residents, Batavia Chamber President and CEO Margaret Perreault; Patti Anselme, chamber special events coordinator; and Shirley Mott, chamber communications and membership coordinator.
