McHenry County College hosts job and internship fair featuring local employers

Nearly 100 area companies will participate in McHenry County College's Job and Internship Fair Oct. 11.

The free event, hosted in partnership with the McHenry County Workforce Network, will be held 1-3:30 p.m. in the gym at the college, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake.

Employers will be seeking interns, temporary workers, and part- and full-time workers.

"Whether you're new to the job search or are looking to advance in your career, this event has something for everyone," said Amy Neff, MCC coordinator of career services. "It's a great opportunity to make valuable face-to-face connections with a wide variety of local employers."

Interested students, alumni, and community members can register at mchenry.edu/jobfair. A list of participating employers can be found on the website.

The event is open to the public. Preregistration is recommended.

Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and bring copies of their resume to give employers. For assistance developing or updating resumes before the fair contact careers@mchenry.edu or (815) 455-8566 to request an appointment.
