AVS launches home arcade division

ELK GROVE VILLAGE - AVS Cos. said Monday it has launched a new sales division, AVS Home Arcade.

AVS Home Arcade will focus on direct-to-consumer sales with arcade equipment and accessories from leading manufacturers in the industry. Joe Gumma will lead the AVS Home Arcade division for the company.

Founded in Chicago in 1971, AVS Cos. is a distributor of amusement, gaming and vending equipment. The company is now headquartered in Elk Grove Village.

"AVS has always sold to the home market through different partner channels, and today we are taking it to a whole new level," said Tony Shamma, AVS' vice president of sales.

The division Monday launched a new website at www.avshomearcade.com.

"From my beginning in sales at AVS, I have sold arcade games to homeowners," Gumma said. "The AVS Home Arcade division will allow us to focus on those customers to bring more excitement into homes."
