Living history tour of Grayslake Cemetery set for Oct. 1
The Grayslake Historical Society will share the life stories of several former Grayslake residents during the 25th annual Living History Tour of the Grayslake Cemetery on Sunday, Oct. 1.
Performances are set for 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the cemetery, near the northeast corner of Lake Street and Belvidere Road. The event will take place rain or shine, and there is no rain date.
Visitors will hear about the lives and legacies from costumed re-enactors portraying Mary Mogg, Mary Godfrey, Abigail Frazier, Henry Hart, John Wicks, John Murrie and Allen McMillen.
Donations are appreciated. The program is sponsored by the Strang Funeral Chapel.
