Newsweek ranks St. Charles Recovery Centers of America facility among best in nation

Recovery Centers of America (RCA) St. Charles, an evidence-based drug and alcohol abuse treatment facility, announced today it was named to Newsweek Magazine's 2023 ranking of "America's Best Addiction Treatment Centers."

With inpatient and outpatient substance abuse disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment centers across the country, RCA's St. Charles' facility took top honors in Newsweek's annual ranking, for quality of service, reputation and accreditation.

"Our amazing team continues to inspire and set the standard for tailored addiction treatment in the Chicago metropolitan area," said Karen Wolownik Albert LCSW, CEO of the St. Charles facility and award-winning behavior health and addiction management expert for more than 20 years. "It's incredibly rewarding work and a testament to RCA's science-based, compassionate, and respectful approach to recovery," added Albert.

RCA's national network of world-class substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment facilities has been serving patients and families for years in Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. This is the fourth consecutive year that Recovery Centers of America facilities have received the prestigious Newsweek designation.

Located in St. Charles, Ill., along with outpatient services in South Elgin, Ill., RCA's award-winning addiction treatment plans give patients critical in-patient, outpatient, and work flex options for recovery and maintenance. RCA's sprawling 120-acre campus in St. Charles opened just three years ago and is setting a new standard for addiction treatment in the Chicago metropolitan area, with services including:

• Drug and alcohol detox services

• Residential inpatient treatment for drug and alcohol addiction

• Outpatient addiction treatment (offered both in-person and via teletherapy)

• Medication-Assisted Treatment for opiate, opioid and alcohol addiction

• An active alumni association with recovery meetings and activities

The Newsweek rankings honor the leading 360 addiction treatment centers in the U.S., based on a national online survey of more than 4,000 medical professionals in the addiction treatment industry and accreditation data provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

With 11 inpatient facilities across seven states, RCA uses cutting-edge treatment technology in unison with holistic step-based recovery modalities and safe, supportive community environments.

Each patient's journey to recovery, and needs along the way, are unique. RCA offers all levels of care including medically-monitored detox, inpatient care, outpatient care with in-person and telehealth options, and outpatient care inclusive of medications for addiction treatment.
