New system not working

Wow. AnnEllyn Barr hit the nail on the head about the new appointment system at secretary of state's offices. I had to try to make an appointment online as a phone call wasn't doing the job.

After many tries of getting messages such as "access denied" or website not available, I finally got an appointment in Joliet - an hour away - I wanted to go to Lombard, just 10 minutes away.

I was finally able to cancel it and get an appointment in Melrose Park, which is slightly better than Joliet.

The website says you can drive for one year on an expired license. Maybe that is the way to go?
