Chase Bank in Elgin robbed Friday afternoon

Authorities are searching for a suspect who robbed bank Friday afternoon in Elgin, officials said.

The FBI responded about 4:30 p.m. to the robbery at Chase Bank, 1600 Larkin Ave., according to a news release from the bureau's Chicago field office.

The suspect is described as Black or Hispanic man, wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt and a tan or black hat.

He did not show a weapon, though the robber implied he was armed. No injuries have been reported.

Witnesses can report to the FBI anonymously to tips.fbi.gov or (312) 421-6700.
