Libertyville's Tour of Homes features Wineberry neighborhood
Join MainStreet Libertyville from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, for the Libertyville Tour of Homes. Participants will find decorating inspiration, remodeling ideas, stunning homes and an opportunity to taste fine wines in downtown Libertyville after the tour.
This year's Tour of Homes explores the evolution of a home through five residences in Libertyville's Wineberry subdivision, all built in the 1990s. No matter how lovely a home is when it is new, styles, trends and products change substantially over 25 or more years.
Experience amenities like open-concept, the kitchen island, energy efficiency, lighting, the master suite, a spa-like bathroom, outdoor living and more.
"We are so excited to feature five stately homes in the Wineberry neighborhood that have all gone through some level of updating and redesign. The homes feature the work of local builders Elliot West and Landmark Luxury Group, along with interior designer Rebecca Bobroff," said Erin Kahn, design committee chair for MainStreet Libertyville.
Following the tour, head back to downtown Libertyville to The Joyful Gourmet to enjoy an optional wine-tasting of four, 2 oz. pours from 1-5 p.m.
Libertyville Tour of Homes participants can purchase this special, discounted tasting for $9 (regularly priced at $18). A bottle of fine wine from The Joyful Gourmet will also be raffled off at each home on the tour. Winners need not be present to win.
"This year's tour will give you all the best in design ideas, from small updates to full renovations, followed by a special discounted wine tasting at The Joyful Gourmet," Kahn said.
Tour tickets are available for purchase in advance for $25 at the MainStreet Libertyville website, mainstreetlibertyville.org, or from the MainStreet Libertyville Office, 150 E. Cook St., #102; in person; or by phone at (847) 680-0336. Tickets purchased on the day of the event are $30.
Tour booklets with a map and information about each home will be distributed beginning at 9:30 a.m. in Cook Park in downtown Libertyville, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., on the day of the event. Tickets will also be available for purchase in the park.
