Aurora church to open fall season of community 'Wednesday Night Gatherings' Sept. 6
After a summer hiatus, Wesley United Methodist Church in Aurora will resume Wednesday Night Gatherings Sept. 6.
Featuring a hamburger cookout and games, the event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. outdoors on the church's north lawn at 14 N. May St. in Aurora. The public is invited.
Gatherings are held on first and third Wednesdays during the school year. Bonus Gatherings are held on fifth Wednesdays.
Gatherings coordinator Michelle Curiel, the church's children and family director, said attendees are invited to bring a dish to pass. Games will include bean bag toss, sidewalk chalk and hoola hoops.
In case of inclement weather, the gathering will be held in the Gathering Place room.
Wesley holds Sunday worship online at 9:30 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
