Geneva to host Citizens Police Academy this fall

Geneva residents can sign up now for the 2023 Citizens Police Academy.

The classes will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 3 to Dec. 19, at the Geneva Police Department. Participants will learn about the police hiring process, crime-scene investigations, use of force, traffic enforcement, crime prevention, drug education and active shooter response.

Students must be 21 or older and live or own a business in Geneva. Applications are available at the police department, 20 Police Plaza, or on the website geneva.il.us. They are due Sept. 22.
