Teen driver hospitalized after crash in Elk Grove Village
A teenage driver was hospitalized after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree late Wednesday night in Elk Grove Village, police said.
According to police, first responders dispatched to the 1000 block of Cypress Lane at about 11:03 p.m. located a 2011 Toyota Camry which had made impact with a tree.
The driver was pinned inside the vehicle, police said. He was extricated by firefighters and taken to Ascension Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove, officials said. The boy remained hospitalized Thursday, police said.
The crash is under investigation by the Elk Grove Village Police Department Traffic Unit.
