Ex-Elgin man convicted of sexual assault, abuse
A former Elgin man has been found guilty of criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child.
Kane County Judge John Barsanti convicted Lawrence M. Slack on Aug. 18.
Slack, 65, of the 100 block of North 173rd Avenue in Goodyear, Arizona, remains free on $20,000 bond. He will be sentenced on Oct. 13.
Between March 2008 and March 2011, Slack assaulted the victim at his Elgin home.
Slack will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
