Mundelein Welcomes New HR Director
The Village of Mundelein is pleased to welcome Tameika Jones as the Village's new Director of Human Resources. The former HR Director, Lynne Monroe, recently was promoted to Assistant Village Administrator.
Jones has a broad background in all facets of HR management affairs including experience in employee recruitment and retention, conflict resolution, benefits and compensation, HR records management, employment law, and mediation and advocacy.
Prior to joining the Mundelein team, Jones was the HR Director for the City of Waukegan. Under the direction of the mayor, she managed all the HR functions for the municipality's 412 employees.
Jones earned her Master of Business Administration and a second Master of Human Resource Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Chicago State University.
Jones has many professional development memberships including Member of the Illinois City/County Management Association, Member of the International City/County Management Association, Member of the Illinois Association of Municipal Management Assistants, Member of the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association, and Member of the Illinois Public Employer Labor Relations Association, to name just a few.
