Why is there political bias against movie?
Sunday, July 30, the front page of your paper had the story of a victim of sex trafficking. The article highlights Naomi's House, which is a community outreach for victims giving them hope and a voice. Kane and Cook counties arrested five people trafficking seven women. Nineteen were arrested in Florida County for child sex crimes. They located 59 children that were missing.
I found Jim Slusher's article in the Thursday, Aug. 3, Opinion section intriguing. Why hasn't he gone to see Sound of Freedom to judge himself? Sound of Freedom is based on a true story of Tim Ballard, an agent who left Homeland Security to start a business Operation Underground Railroad to rescue children. I saw the inhumanity and evil that was portrayed in this film against the vulnerable and finally brings to light a heinous crime.
You can go to Operation Underground Railroad and see what facts are true and what is made for the film. My question is why would anyone have a bias for this film?
