Column added to ex-priest's troubles
Your fearless crime writers Keeshan and Sarkauskas seem to take joy in another person's failings. I'm speaking about their mention of former priest Mark Campobello. Their opening comment sets the tone, "A blast from the past," referring to Campobello's previous engagements with the law. For those crimes, he has spent many years in jail and his life has been destroyed.
Some recent run-ins with the law have further degraded him, so while the man is down, and almost out, here come Keeshan and Sarkauskas to kick him.
Now before I get accused of defending him, I'm not. You can write and report any story you wish, but seemingly taking pleasure in another man's deep problems is disturbing. Wonder what previous things our two crime reporters are hoping no one uncovers about them.
