Biden's illusion
In the trick called "The Vanishing Bird Cage," the audience sees and hears the magician slamming black lacquered boxes flat, the canary disappears, and the magician keeps searching, but the canary is gone, the magician sells the illusion of the vanished canary and the bird reappears. Today, President Biden's illusion is that he's the magician and Donald Trump is the bird that keeps returning.
It seems the Democrats just can't put the Jan 6, 2021, protest against what many people believe was a flawed election with some states changing election laws to accommodate the COVID pandemic to push for mail-in voting. In particular, if you sent in a ballot with a signature that didn't match the signature that they had on file it was not counted; but in Pennsylvania, a few months before the 2020 election they said, you don't need signature comparisons, you don't need a postal date and if the postal date is smudged, you are to count it anyway.
Now President Biden's Justice Department special counsel investigation alleges efforts by former President Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election is a crime. The indictment alleges three conspiracies: one to defraud the United States; a second to obstruct an official government proceeding; and a third to deprive people of a civil right.
Democrats point to one phrase in particular as they argue that Trump incited those present to march down Pennsylvania Avenue toward the Capitol, "We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore." But, they omit, "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard today."
In Democrat minds, Jan 6 is "a date which will live in infamy."
