Palatine honors its most beautiful properties with Hometown Pride Awards

The village of Palatine and its Beautification Commission honored the winners of the 2023 Hometown Pride Awards on Monday, Aug. 7.

The awards recognize properties in the village that have beautiful landscaping and exceptional curb appeal.

The winners were nominated by village residents in categories including single- and multifamily homes, commercial properties and "Doors of Palatine," which recognizes decorative front entrances of residential buildings.

Honorees gathered at the village hall Monday for a recognition ceremony before the village council meeting.

The winners included:

• Business - Sikh Religious Society, first place; Emmett's Brewing Company, second place; Brandt Financial, third place.
