Summer Slam All-City Tennis Tournament winners announced

On Friday, July 21, Naperville Park District hosted the Summer Slam All-City Tennis Tournament at multiple locations.

The youth matches were played in a round robin format, allowing players to compete in a fun, friendly environment and learn from the additional match play provided in this format.

The 2023 champions and finalists from each age division are:

• 10 and Under - Anay Bhatia (champion) and Paul Hogan (finalist)

• 12 and Under - Kevin Luo first (champion) and Ellie Pomykala (finalist)

• 16 and Under - Christian Coleman (champion) and Lauren Varak (finalist)

• Adult 3.0-3.5 Doubles - Sheel Parikh and Akshay Baid (champions) and RD Nigam and Narayanan Venkatramen (finalists)

"We are proud of all of our youth participants who displayed not only their tennis skills but their sportsmanship as well," said Brock Atwell, program manager. "The tournament also gave the 32 adult players an opportunity to compete in a friendly, Compass Draw format."
