Elk Grove Village Mid-Summer Classics Concert Series Attracts Record-Breaking Crowds

Elk Grove Village wrapped up its 14th annual "Unity within the Community" Mid-Summer Classics Concert Series on Tuesday, Aug. 1. The 2023 concert series drew record breaking crowds and featured a fifth concert, which was a rare and special treat for the community.

This year's concert series kicked off on Tuesday, July 4 with a long-awaited performance by KC and The Sunshine Band. The second concert in the series featured The Spinners on Tuesday, July 11. The concert series reached its midway point on Thursday, July 20 with a special concert held in conjunction with the Elk Grove Rotary Fest. The concert featured the All-American Rejects and drew the largest crowd since the concert series began in 2009. The Oak Ridge Boys performed at the penultimate concert on Tuesday, July 25. Ann Wilson of Heart closed out the 2023 concert series on Tuesday, Aug. 1, drawing yet another noteworthy crowd.

The village is proud to offer free, first-class entertainment for members of the community. Generous support from the Elk Grove Park District, the Elk Grove Village Public Library, Elk Grove High School, Elk Grove Rotary Club, and our corporate supporters helps make the annual Mid-Summer Classics Concert Series possible. The unique partnerships and support from them help the village set the standard for high-quality and accessible community entertainment.
