Err on safe side with pilots' retirement age

As everyone ages differently (physically, mentally, vision, hearing, reflexes, etc. - all of which are critical for being a pilot), it is irresponsible to increase the retirement age for pilots. It is always better to err on the safe side.

Most pilots are males, according to the CDC, the average life expectancy for males in 2021 was 73.2 years. If a pilot started working or was in the military at age 18, and retired at age 65, that would be 47 years of working. Over the course of a career, a pilot would be directly responsible for the safety of hundreds of thousands (if not millions of passengers). They have earned the right to enjoy their average retirement of 8.2 years.

The "pilot shortage" is 100% attributable to airline management for being short sighted and their lack of pilot recruitment.
