This is one lucky American president

What American president would not be happy to run on a record of the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years; a reduction in inflation every month for 12 months, bringing the level of annual inflation to within one percentage point of the 2% target inflation rate; gasoline prices below the pre-pandemic level; wages rising slightly faster than inflation; and consumer confidence at a two-year high - all accomplished with a high probability that a recession will be avoided?

What president wouldn't be proud to run on a legislative record of passing bipartisan legislation that includes significant infrastructure funding; gun safety reform; financial support for families trying to negotiate the economically damaging consequences of the COVID pandemic; incentives to return chip manufacturing to the US; significant funding to address climate change; and capping annual prescription drug costs at $2000 for those on Medicare - all of which have eluded prior Republican and Democratic administrations alike?

What president wouldn't be extremely pleased to have re-established U.S. leadership of the free world; restored purpose, cohesion and expansion to a NATO that was left in tatters by a previous administration; and led a coalition to support Ukraine in its efforts to counter the illegal and unprovoked war waged by Russia?

How in the world did an ancient, broken-down and senile Joe Biden get so lucky as to serve as the U.S. president when these wonderful things were occurring? It causes one to wonder how this all happened and who should get the credit for it. It clearly shouldn't be Joe Biden since we have been told by the media and politicians for the last three years that he is the worst president in living memory and he spends his time hiding in the White House basement. If not him, who?
