The Geneva Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on July 21 for Apricot Lane Boutique, 1514 Commons Dr., Geneva. Owner Jill Shaffrey cut the ribbon held by her husband, Kevin, and sister-in-law Kathy French. She was surrounded by her sons Riley and Sean, staff, chamber board members, ambassadors and staff. On July 11 the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce hosted a breakfast for 50 business professionals at Lake Park High School to learn about opportunities where they can help and support Lake Park High School staff and students. Lake Park is looking for businesses to participate in any of the following: Business Advisory Board for LPHS; Mentors and coaches to the Incubator Program; Business guest speakers; internships and job training opportunities; Businesses provide site tours for students; Part-time work and business partner with school to provide team-based challenges. Lilly Aguilar, of Solutions Cleaning Services, hosted the Bloomingdale Area Women in Business (BAWIB) for Cocktails and Conversations after hours on July 21. BAWIB meets monthly for either dinks or coffee with several special events throughout the year providing women in business opportunities to network and share experiences and referrals. Enterprise Truck Rental held a ribbon cutting at the newest location in Palatine this week, in collaboration with the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce. This branch is the ninth in the Chicago area and is ready to meet the needs of customers by offering access to truck rental solutions, including cargo vans, box trucks and tow-capable pickup trucks for both business and personal use. Located at 2234 N. Rand Road, Palatine, the opening is part of Enterprise Truck Rental's footprint expansion to meet rising demand for seasonal, project-based and e-commerce delivery rentals, as well as vehicles for personal truck rental needs.

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated a ribbon cutting for Prizm Behavioral Services, PC & Lifeskills Counseling Services, 230 West Martin Avenue in Naperville on July 15.
