Firefighter in good condition after suffering injury battling house fire in Aurora
An Aurora firefighter was transported to a hospital in good condition after suffering an injury battling a house fire Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the one-story, single-family home on the 500 block of Camelia Avenue just after 4 p.m. by a neighbor reporting smoke showing from the roof and eaves.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
It took nearly 25 minutes to bring the fire under control, but firefighters remained on the scene for another 90 minutes checking for hot spots and performing salvage operations.
The house was deemed uninhabitable and displaced two residents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
