Pingree Grove to host open house on Reinking and Damish roads roundabout

On Monday, Aug. 7, the Village of Pingree Grove will hold a public open house to share exhibits of the proposed improvements to the Reinking and Damisch roads roundabout.

The open house will be 6 to 7 p.m. in the second-flood board room of the village municipal center, 555 Reinking Road.

The proposed project includes the reconstruction of pavement, railroad crossing, storm sewer, curb, streetscape, and other related improvements. In addition, the sidewalk along the north approach of Reinking Road will be extended through the intersection.

The open house will be conducted on an informal basis, and representatives from the village and their consultant will be available for public input and to answer questions.

The Village of Pingree Grove, established in 1907, is a non-home-rule municipality located in Northern Illinois, County of Kane, with a population over 11,000. The village board consists of the president and six trustees elected at-large, serving staggered four-year terms. The village employs a full-time police chief, public works director, finance director, and village clerk at the department head level and employs a number of full-time and part-time employees under their direction.
