If you have a strong back, you should shovel

Able-bodied welfare recipients should be required to shovel snow. Since they would not be needed every day, they could be required to make themselves available, similar to the way citizens are required to be available for jury duty.

Some people say this amounts to slavery, but slavery is when one works while someone else gets the "fruit of his labor." Those who get paid without having to earn it are not slaves. Taxpayers, on the other hand, work, but part of their pay goes to pay those who are not working for their welfare payments. Therefore, taxpayers are the slaves.
