Pedestrian killed when struck by vehicle Sunday in Deerfield

A pedestrian died Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Deerfield, police said.

The crash occurred at about 7:19 a.m. at Robert York and Osterman avenues, according to police, who did not provide additional details of the identity of the victim.

The Deerfield Police Department, the Lake County, Major Crash Assistance Team and the Lake County coroner's office are investigating.
