Entertainment can desensitize us to violence
Perhaps all the violent movies, TV shows and video games have caught up to us.
Not all of the population is adversely affected by these forms of entertainment, but obviously some are and cannot understand the difference between reality and fiction. Thus killing and injuring people does not faze them!
