Lake County to review proposed redevelopment of Baxter property

Lake County planning staff will meet Tuesday with Bridge Development regarding the proposed redevelopment of the Baxter property near Deerfield.

The company requested the preliminary "early assistance" meeting with county departments. After the meeting, a review of the provided information will be incorporated in a report that also will describe the next steps to expect if Bridge Industrial chooses to move forward with a formal project development application.

Bridge last month formally withdrew a petition to annex the 101-acre site into the village of Deerfield, as part of a plan to redevelop it as an industrial and recreational complex.
