The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce awarded scholarships to local students. Through the generosity of chamber members and a few fundraisers, 10 students received $1,000 and one alumnus received $1,500 scholarship money to use towards their secondary education. On June 29th a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Casa Di Luigi restaurant, which used to be Grande Jake's. It is located at 5500 New Wilke Road in Rolling Meadows.
