Hazing makes no sense
I am mystified by the hazing at Northwestern among many other institutions. I was very fortunate to have part of seven championship football teams over 13 years. One of the consistent characteristics of all of the teams, champion or not, was the camaraderie among teammates.
I maintain relationships with teammates from midget leagues through college. I don't think that would have happened if some of the mean hazing had taken place. Why would you sexually or physically haze a teammate? Why would you disrespect the player who might line up next to you or make or break your team?
No wonder the Northwestern team was 4-20 over the past few years. That's no way to build a team
