Join your neighbors for live music at Barrington Porchfest

The streets of Barrington will once again come alive with the sound of music as Barrington Porchfest returns on Saturday, July 22.

This free, family-friendly event is back for its second year and will feature an afternoon of live music performances. All are invited to join in on the fun.

Barrington Porchfest is a unique event that brings together local musicians and community members to celebrate the power of music and build connections. The festival takes place on the porches and lawns of homes along Cook Street and Grove Avenue, in the heart of downtown Barrington, with musicians performing a variety of genres, from folk to rock to jazz.

The event is organized by neighbors dedicated to promoting the arts in the community.

"We are thrilled to bring back Porchfest for a second year," said Jay Istvan, committee member of Barrington Porchfest. "Last year's event was a huge success, and we can't wait to see the community come together once again to enjoy great music and good company."

Musical acts from all over the area will flood the streets of downtown Barrington with bands and solo performers including The Amnesiacs, Tom Cahill Band, The Dill Spears, Mark Himes, Local Faction, Local Motion, My Cousin's Jacket, Dylan Nelson, The Rolling Blackouts, Cindi Stark and Wrought Iron Soul.

Barrington Porchfest will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. July 22. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Cook Street and Grove Avenue are one block east of Barrington Road/Hough Street.
