Aurora church hosts grocery giveaway

Wesley United Methodist Church in Aurora hosted a groceries giveaway by Northern Illinois Food Bank on Friday, June 30.

A mobile distribution by the Geneva-based food bank took place in the church parking lot.

No ID, documentation or pre-approval were required.

Distribution was on a first-come, first served basis, while supplies lasted.

The Wesley event was among 13 mobile distributions by the food bank last week in Kane, Lake, DuPage, Will and Ogle counties.
