A danger to environment
Having read Joan Baillie's letter about those Mylar party balloons, I can't agree more. Every time I see a mass launch at a party or memorial I cringe and want to scream "No. Don't do that!"
I think they should be illegal, outlawed, banned and whatever similar word describes not selling or using them. They are so bad for our environment which we are trying to preserve for survival. They threaten wildlife if eaten or from entanglement. They threaten our environment because they don't degrade at all. They last forever and cannot be recycled.
Right now, all I can do is to ask people not to buy them and to please not release them to the passing winds.
