McCormick Foundation appoints two at Cantigny

WHEATON - The Chicago-based Robert R. McCormick Foundation announced two key appointments this month.

• Jess Jose has joined the organization as IT strategy lead, a newly created position. He will oversee information technology for the McCormick Foundation with particular emphasis on developing and implementing new systems and processes across Cantigny Park and Cantigny Golf. Jose previously served as principal consultant with Slalom Consulting LLC, during which he completed an IT strategy assessment for the McCormick Foundation and Cantigny.

• James "Jamie" Burghardt was named horticulture director, filling an open position. He joins Cantigny from Waterfront Botanical Gardens in Louisville, Kentucky, where he served as chief horticulture and education officer. In that role, he planned WBG's expansion and design to build upon a former city dump, and developed new family programs for visitors. At Cantigny, Burghardt will lead a team of 15 professionals and oversee the park's horticultural programs and operations, including the estate's renowned display gardens.
